Department of BBA had organized a Guest Lecture on "Changing Marketing Paradigm" for the students to understand the dynamism of Marketing Paradigm in the context of modern businesses at JEMTEC, Greater Noida. The lecture was delivered by Mr. RICHARD JOHN MASILAMANI, Ex- CEO, TIMEX Watches. He is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Madras and also the Alumni of IIM Ahmedabad. As CEO he has 30 years experience spanning the fertilizer, automobile, food and consumer electronics industry. In 70s he joined the Tata Administrative Service-the elite cadre of the Tata group of companies and performed in core Companies including Telco, and Voltas, and in two Tata Group joint ventures which featured Pepsico of the U.S. - one of the world's most admired companies. The speaker was welcomed by Dr. AK Chaturvedi, Dean-BBA/BCA with a bouquet. In his lecture Mr. Masilamani discussed the various marketing strategies across various industries. The beauty of the lecture was it started with the fundamentals of marketing and then touched some useful aspects in relation to technology. His concept of segmentation-starting from one point expanding to various branches and then reuniting- all with the advent of technology was something that everyone loved. Approximately 100 students of BBA and Faculty members attended the session with curiosity and enjoyed it thoroughly. They interacted with the speaker and asked various questions.
