Dr. Devendra Jha has obtained his B.Tech and M.Sc Engg (Mechanical) degree from BIT, Sindri (Dhanbad). He earned his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. Dr. Devendra Jha has over 39 years of professional experience in industry and academia both. Dr Jha has a working experience of about 2 years at Shriram Bearings Ltd., Ranchi and for 34 years in Projects & Development India Ltd. (PDIL), a Mini Ratna Category-1 company under the administrative control of Department of Fertilizers, Government of India. Dr. Jha has been involved in execution of a number of mega projects with National, International / Global organizations through Coordination with Process Licensors, Project Owners, Vendors, Contractors, TPI Agencies, In-house Engineering / Finance / Personnel & Administration Departments, Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring & Progress Reporting etc. to ensure timely completion of Project by exercising control over Project Cost, Quality and completion period at each stage. He has also been responsible for Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008 and Business Process Reengineering in PDIL. He superannuated from PDIL as General Manager (Projects) in Jan 2014. He has had his interest in academia since very beginning. He has taught at BIT Sindri for almost 22 years as part-time-lecturer. Prior to joining this institute in July 2014 as Dean (Academics), he served Mewar University, Chittorgarh as HOD (Mech. Engg) for a brief tenure. He has a number of research papers to his credit published in different National and International Journals.
